Britney Spears in Tears After Lawyer Meeting

Troubled pop star Britney Spears fled her lawyer's office in tears on Wednesday after a meeting to discuss her custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

The 25-year-old singer and Federline's divorce was finalized last month, with the couple agreeing to joint custody of their sons Sean Preston, 23 months, and Jayden James, 11 months.

However, following Spears' erratic behavior in recent weeks, Federline is now seeking full custody of the two boys and has subpoenaed her assistant Alli Sims, her former sidekick Shannon Funk, and her bodyguard Daimon Shippen to testify in the case.

Spears met with her lawyer Laura Wasser in Los Angeles on Wednesday and was photographed crying as she left.

Later that evening, Spears met up with Las Vegas magician Criss Angel to discuss a possible collaboration at the forthcoming MTV Music Video Awards.

Criss Angel Denies Spears Romance Reports

Illusionist Criss Angel has dismissed reports he's romantically involved with Britney Spears, insisting he has been working with the pop superstar on her upcoming MTV Video Music Awards performance.

Angel, who recently dated Cameron Diaz, was spotted having dinner with Spears in Hollywood on Wednesday night, before the pair headed into a nearby hotel.

But Angel--real name Christopher Sarantakos--claims Spears just wanted to discuss the possibility of using his magic skills in a possible performance at the MTV Video Music Awards ceremony in Las Vegas next month.

He says, "It's amazing what people think. We're not together. Her manager is my manager, and I'm helping with one of her shows. I'm helping with her appearance on MTV.

"We were talking about how she wants to do something more with the (awards) show, and about me helping out and hoping to work with her on doing something to make her MTV appearance more innovative.

"It's amazing how you can't do anything now without people making up stuff."

Britney Spears poses topless for Allure

Another day, another bit of bizarre Britney behavior. The cover of the September issue of Allure magazine features Britney Spears posed provocatively in jeans and dark brown wig, her bare breasts covered by her arms.

There are two similar shots inside the mag. She very cooperatively posed for the shots in April.

When it came to sitting for the interview she had also agreed to, that became a much different matter.

"Britney showed up for Allure's cover shoot on time and ready to work," editor-in-chief Linda Wells wrote in an a letter for the issue, on newsstands Tuesday.

"She was entirely unself-conscious: She took off her wig and then stripped down to the waist, for no apparent reason, before sitting for hair and makeup," Wells said. "She was agreeable and cooperative on the shoot and left at the end of the day, followed by a trail of paparazzi."

As for the interview that was to follow, the 25-year-old Spears missed four appointments with Allure interviewer Judith Newman, Wells said.

At one point, Spears put off the chat because she was "delayed by important work in the recording studio," Newman wrote. But, she added, "The paparazzi found her a few hours later at a salon, getting her nails done." .

What do you do when you have no profile to accompany some alluring photographs? Newman wrote a first-person essay about her experience trying to track down Spears.

"Britney has long lost her role-model status," Wells commented. "That dream of a comeback seems to occupy an ever-more-distant speck on the horizon."

Lindsay Lohan Pedals Away From Rehab

It looks like Lindsay Lohan just can’t get enough of that Utah fresh air.

Lilo was photographed on Thursday taking a bike ride in a black get up with matching helmet. Very biker chic, indeed.

Earlier this week, a smiling and presumably sober Lindsay was seen strolling the streets of Sundance with cigarette in hand.

Lindsay checked into the Cirque Lodge in early August, marking her third stint in rehab after previous visits to the Wonderland and Promises facilities in Los Angeles.

Lindsay Lohan Graces Cover Of Maxim

Lindsay Lohan may be in rehab, but that hasn't stopped Maxim from featuring her on the cover of its 10th anniversary issue, which hits newsstands Tuesday in the U.S.

In the interview — which was conducted in mid-May, before both her DUI arrests — Lohan cites the obscure track "It's for You" by Out Hud as her go-to DJ song and shares her guilty pleasures: Larry King Live, Oprah and junk food.

When asked what she would bring to a remote island, she said: "I'd take an iPod, a good book and a friend, because I wouldn't want to be alone."

While the Maxim shot dates back a few months, TMZ.com has posted a photo of a smiling Lohan the site says was taken Tuesday at the Cirque Lodge rehab center in Orem, Utah. The pic shows the actress on her way to a tanning center.

Paris Hilton's Fashion Launch Causes L.A. Chaos

Police and city workers were called in to handle the crowd and a lane of traffic was closed as Paris Hilton unveiled her clothing line Thursday at a trendy boutique.

The heiress, author, singer, perfume designer and reality-TV star unveiled the line at Kitson, a boutique known for its celebrity clientele. The lane was closed for pedestrians' safety, a city spokesman said.

Clad in a gold sequin mini-dress, Hilton, 26, emerged from a black SUV to a throng of fans who spilled into the street.

"It's a dream come true to have my own clothing line," she said.

"It's just Paris style: fun, bright and flashy."

The collection, which Hilton described as "really comfortable" and "really affordable," includes shoes, T-shirts and jeans.

Hilton said she spent a year submitting and approving designs. "It's just from my closet to their closets," she said.

The heiress also discussed other newsy matters in her life: her pregnant pal, Nicole Richie ("She's going to be a great mom," Hilton said), and the pending sale of her Hollywood Hills home.

"I'm going to miss my house because I love it. I really designed it to be my perfect taste," she said.

"But too many people know where I live and I'd rather be in a gated community."

Lindsay Lohan's parents settle divorce

Lindsay Lohan's estranged parents settled their long-simmering divorce and custody dispute Friday, winning praise from the judge who presided over their case.

"You have both demonstrated to me extraordinarily good judgment in resolving this matter as you did," state Supreme Court Justice Robert A. Ross told Michael and Dina Lohan.

Terms of the divorce agreement, which will become official within 60 days, weren't disclosed. Dina Lohan has custody of the couple's two minor children, Aliana, 13, and Dakota, 10.

Outside the courthouse, Michael Lohan said he was looking forward to seeing the children again, though it wasn't disclosed when or under what circumstances he might do so.

Neither Lindsay, 21, nor her brother Michael, 19, were involved in the divorce proceedings since they are no longer minors.

"I wish Dina the best and I hope we can both move forward and put our best foot forward for the kids' sake and just be good parents," Lohan told reporters outside the courthouse.

Dina Lohan said, "Now the healing process can begin for my children and myself."

She said Lindsay, who was arrested last month in Santa Monica, Calif., on suspicion of driving under the influence and cocaine possession, is doing "fantastic."

The "Mean Girls" star faces an Aug. 24 court date in connection with that arrest.

Lindsay has been the subject of intense speculation since her arrest, which came just two weeks after she was released from her second stint in rehab this year. Various reports have placed her in a rehab facility in Utah, but no one is talking on the record.

The Lohans were close to an agreement on a divorce settlement in 2005, but that deal collapsed while Michael was serving a prison term for drunken driving, brawling and other charges.

He was released in March and entered a Christian-based drug and rehabilitation center in West Babylon. He has repeatedly said Lindsay needs the same kind of treatment.
