'Paris works so hard,' says Kathy Hilton

Paris Hilton's mum Kathy Hilton has claimed that her celeb daughter is extremely hardworking.

The socialite's mum said that her daughter works so hard that she has to remind her to take a break.

"Paris works so hard. I always say, Paris, you also have to stop now and again and smell the roses," Contactmusic quoted Kathy Hilton, as telling German newspaper 'Die Wielt'.

In the interview to the publication, she also said that the Simple Life star's case was mishandled, for no one was punished the way she was.

"You simply don't get behind the wheel when you have even had just a bit to drink. That is totally irresponsible. I agree with that. I do criticise how Paris' case was handled though," she said..

"That was not about the law, the prosecutor even admitted that. His own wife drove twice without a licence and even smashed up a car. No, of 2000 cases that were like Paris', no one was punished like she was," Kathy added.

Kathy also refuted claims that Paris is a spoiled brat and insisted that she has always been a 'tough mother'.

"When Paris disobeyed us, we would first confiscate her mobile phone - practically her life. Second time it would be disconnected, for a month or so. Mothers are mothers, annoying. Perhaps I was too strict with Paris," she said.

"She was cheeky but never spoiled like it's always written...we never sued and so this myth grew larger and larger."

"I am very strict. I call my daughter up and say, 'That is enough now, stop, I don't want to hear any more. You better stay home.'"

"Of course I worry. That is why I nag just like all mothers."

Judge Refuses To Dismiss Lawsuit Against Lindsay Lohan

A judge Tuesday refused to dismiss portions of a lawsuit against the 21-year-old actress over an October 2005 accident in which her Mercedes-Benz collided with a van.

Superior Court Judge Michael L. Stern rejected a motion that argued the lawsuit lacked legal sufficiency, and set April 7 for the trial.

The California Highway Patrol concluded that Raymundo Ortega, a busboy, caused the accident by making an illegal U-turn, but he sued Lohan and is seeking at least $200,000 in damages.

Ortega was knocked out in the crash, said his attorney, Robert G. Klein.

Lohan and a female passenger sustained minor injuries.

Ortega's suit contends that Lohan was fleeing paparazzi and was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.

"This case is about responsibility and she's not taking responsibility," Klein said outside court.

Lohan's attorney, David J. Ozeran, said outside court that there was no evidence that Lohan was intoxicated.

Last month, Lohan agreed to spend a day in jail and complete a drug treatment program after pleading guilty or no contest to misdemeanor drunken driving and cocaine charges stemming from arrests earlier this year in Beverly Hills and Santa Monica.

Shock new couple: Paris Hilton & 50 Cent

Paris Hilton and 50 Cent were spotted canoodling in Las Vegas.

The rapper made his move on the hotel heiress at the launch party for his new album Curtis at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on Saturday night.

A source said: "50 played a few songs and then made straight for Paris. She was laughing and unashamedly flirting and couldn't keep her hands of him. He nuzzled up to her and they cuddled."

The couple have been romantically linked once before when Paris, 26, was said to have spent the night with the 31-year-old hip-hop star at last year's Cannes Film Festival.

The Simple Life star has previously confessed to having a crush on 50.

She said: "He's so cool. He's really funny and he's so cute too, and I love his music. I think he would be the best boyfriend a girl could wish for!"

In return, 50 gave Paris a mention in his track Turn Da Lights Off telling her to call him up for a date.

Last week, Paris revealed she has set herself a deadline to be married and pregnant by next year.

Britney Caught Out Panty-Less...Again!!

Britney Spears has shocked again, flashing her panty-less private parts at a paparazzi photographer after her performance at Sunday night's MTV Video Music Awards.

Spears exposed herself while stepping into an awaiting limousine after leaving Las Vegas' Bellagio hotel, where she partied with brother Bryan after her embarrassing awards show performance.

And while she was mocked for hitting the VMAs stage in just her undies, she made headlines for taking them off later--when she was caught without her pants by a WENN photographer.

It's not the first time Spears has been caught without underwear--in November of last year Britney revealed all to a photographer during a night out with party pal Paris Hilton, just two months after giving birth to her second child, Jayden James.

Spears' gaffe came just hours after she disappointed the VMA audience with a disjointed and critically panned comeback performance of her new single "Gimme More"--her first major public appearance in four years.

A bystander tells WENN, "What is she thinking? She's a mother of two and here she is flashing her goods to the world!"

Dina Lohan Blast Jodie Foster For Londsay Comments

LINDSAY LOHAN's mother DINA has hit back at JODIE FOSTER for criticising her parenting skills, insisting the actress has no right to comment on her family situation without knowing all the facts. Former child actress Foster last week blamed Lohan Snr. for the Mean Girls star's recent legal troubles, saying: "Can I just ask, where is her mother? I mean, really, where is her mother?" But Dina is furious at Foster's outburst and wishes the Silence of the Lambs star had approached her personally to discuss her thoughts.

She fumes, "It really saddens me that a mum would comment on another mum without ever meeting me! Ironically Lindsay's talent was compared to Jodie Foster's as a little girl! "I don't know what Jodie dealt with as a young Hollywood actress but I do know if it weren't for her mother she would not be a successful actress today! I'm sure her mother made many sacrifices for her to be successful. "All we want as parents is to cultivate our children's dreams, whatever field they choose. She has no idea who we are and what we have dealt with! If she has a question to ask me, don't ridicule me publicly! She should know how the press twists the truth! Don't judge without facts!"

Paris Hilton Confirms Aguilera Pregnancy

Singer Christina Aguilera's pregnancy has been inadvertently confirmed by socialite Paris Hilton, who revealed her friend is expecting a baby to a packed crowd in a Las Vegas nightclub.

The pair was partying at LAX Nightclub in the Luxor hotel on Saturday night when Hilton grabbed a microphone and paid tribute to Aguilera, as she and her husband Jordan Bratman looked on in shock.

Hilton said, "Congratulations to the most beautiful pregnant woman in the world. You're gorgeous."

Former bodyguard dishes on Lohan

Lindsay Lohan’s former bodyguard has told "Inside Edition" he remembers several occasions when he thought the Hollywood actress overdosed on drugs.

Lee Weaver worked for the 21-year-old "Mean Girls" star for a year when she was 19.

She has since admitted she is addicted to drugs and alcohol and spent time in rehab.

"Plenty of times, I would see her sweating and almost passing out and I’m panicking … hitting every bump in the road trying to wake her up," he recalled. "Then, like 20 minutes, she finally comes to."

Weaver told the TV entertainment newsmagazine he was surprised that Lohan’s parents weren’t keeping better track of her.

"I used to say, 'Oh, man, she’s always doing this and doing that. Shouldn’t her mother pop up somewhere because she’s not of age?'" he said.

Weaver also revealed he did not like accompanying Lohan to Nicole Richie’s house because it was a haven for drug users and party people.

"I knew once we got there it would be another 10 hours … I would say: ‘How are you up this late? You’re not tired? You’re beat, I’m beat.' Then I would look at the table and see all kinds of stuff."

Britney Spears attempts disaster comeback at MTV awards

Britney Spears launched her highly anticipated comeback at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, drawing ridicule by dressing up as a stripper and miming her new single.

The 25-year-old singer, whose professional achievements have been overshadowed by her personal crises in recent years, performed "Gimme More" in a black sequined bikini and knee-high boots.

No longer boasting the buff body that helped drive her to international superstardom almost a decade ago, the mother of two moved sluggishly around the stage at the Palms casino, often with the support of a troupe of dancers. At one point, the camera panned to rapper 50 Cent, sitting in the audience, who looked bewildered by the action on stage.

"She blew it," gossip columnist Perez Hilton told Reuters. "Everybody knows Britney lip-syncs, but that's because she dances so much. She barely even danced in this. It was so bad. It was painful. It was embarrassing. And I loved it!"

Comedian Sarah Silverman also showed no mercy. She took to the stage when the performance was over, declaring that the singer's young children were "the most adorable mistakes you'll ever see."

It was not the only excitement at the two-hour show. Tommy Lee and Kid Rock, both former husbands of model Pamela Anderson, got into a fight while Alicia Keys was performing.

"There were no fists, they were just holding each other, grabbing each other," Tom Higginson, singer of the pop band Plain White Ts, told Reuters. "Security had to break them up."

Almost lost in the shuffle was the fact that Spears' former boyfriend, Justin Timberlake took home four statuettes, including male artist of the year.

Along with R&B singer Beyonce, he led the field with seven nominations. Beyonce won a single award -- most earth-shattering collaboration -- for her duet with Colombian pop singer Shakira on the tune "Beautiful Liar."

R&B singer Rihanna won the top prize, video of the year, for her smash hit "Umbrella." That tune also won for monster single of the year.

Hip-hop singer Kanye West went home empty-handed after receiving five nominations. He was also not thrilled that Spears took the plum opening slot.

"I can't believe she would perform. She hasn't had a hit record in years," the outspoken hip-hop star improvised during a performance the night before.

Spears released her last studio album in 2003, the commercial disappointment "In the Zone" -- and West has recorded three albums in that time. She has been working on a new album for more than a year, although it is not known when it will be released.

MTV brought the show to Las Vegas for the first time, hoping to reverse a sharp slide in viewership for its awards bash.

Last year's ceremony in New York drew 5.8 million viewers, down from 8 million in 2005 and 10.3 million in 2004, according to Nielsen Media Research. By contrast, the Grammys drew just over 20 million viewers in February.
